Permanent magnets and non-permanent magnets
Fri Jul 2020ADMIN

Magnets can be divided into "permanent magnets" and "non-permanent magnets".

What is a permanent magnet?

As the name implies, it is an object that can maintain its magnetic properties for a long time without an external magnetic field. Generally can be maintained for more than 10 years. In ancient times, permanent magnets were all natural products, also known as natural magnets, but today, with advanced technology, artificial magnets can also be manufactured.

Permanent magnets can be divided into two categories

Metal alloy magnet

Including samarium cobalt magnet (SmCo), aluminum nickel cobalt magnet (ALNiCO), iron chromium cobalt magnet (FeCrCo), etc.

Among them, the iron-chromium-cobalt magnet is called the deformed diamond in the permanent magnet, and the alloy permanent magnet can be deformed the most. It can be drawn (0.2-0.3mm) to pull the tube rolling strip and various mechanical processing, and can be made into various shapes of complex permanent Magnetic components, especially for small, long and thin components, exhibit unique characteristics. The thinnest strip can reach 0.05mm, and the thinnest wire can be processed to 0.1mm.

Ferrite permanent magnet

Neodymium iron boron magnet (Nd2Fe14B), samarium cobalt (SmCo), aluminum nickel cobalt magnet, etc.

The first discovered magnet (triiron tetroxide) in ancient times also belonged to ferrite permanent magnets.

The most widely used at present are neodymium iron boron magnets and ferrite permanent magnets!
